Tiny Humans Read is a monthly book box for kids. We offer book boxes for ages newborn to 8 years old, as well as boxes for siblings with a mix of reading levels. Every box is curated by parents who are passionate about reading with their children.
What types of boxes do you offer?
Board Book Box — a board book box ideal for newborns up to age 3.
Sibling Box — a book box that includes both board books and pictures books for families with mixed ages.
What does the Tiny Humans Read book box for kids cost each month?
Each type of book box is a different price based on what books are included and for what ages. Prices range from $17.99-$29.99.
All boxes ship free in the US!
When will my first box ship?
Your first box ships around the 18th of the month after you subscribed. We’ll send your printable keepsake reading log right away, though!
So, if you initially subscribed anytime in March, you’ll be billed on March 31 for the first time, and your first book box will ship around April 18.
Do the books arrive wrapped?
Yes! The books included in each Tiny Humans Read book box now arrive wrapped and utterly gift worthy.
What is the small dot or line on the bottom of some of my books?
We purchase some of our books from publishers’ excess inventory. The books are brand new and have never before been read, and the mark just ensures the books can’t be returned directly to the publisher.
How do I know you won’t send me books I already own?
There are so many amazing books that we hope we won’t send you a book you already have. If you’re worried, please email us at hello@tinyhumansread.com, and we can let you know the books to be included in advance.
If you do get a duplicate, snap a photo of both books together and send it to us along with how you plan to donate the extra book. We’ll then apply a credit to your account for the following month!
Does Tiny Humans Read give back to the community?
Yes! We donate a portion of our profits every month to 826LA, a non-profit providing creative writing programs and tutoring to underserved kids.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. We also accept Apple Pay. All payments are securely processed using Stripe.
Do you offer gift cards?
No, unfortunately at this time we do not offer gift cards.
How do I check the status of my subscription?
Any changes to your subscription should trigger an email to the address on file. You can also check the status of any subscriptions on your Account on the Subscriptions tab.
What if I accidentally purchased the wrong subscription?
We know accidents happen. We offer several box types to make sure there is an option that works for your family. If you accidentally placed an order or subscribed to the wrong box type, please reach out to us at hello@tinyhumansread.com or log into your Account to pause or cancel your subscription right from your dashboard. We issue refunds as long as your box has not already shipped.
Can I switch between box types?
Of course! We offer you full control over your subscription. To switch to a different book box, simply cancel your subscription from your Account and start a new subscription with your desired box type. See available box types here. Changes will take effect beginning the following month.
Can I gift a subscription box to a friend or loved one?
Yes! Once you’ve chosen which box you’d like to gift, begin the checkout process.
Then, enter your friend or loved one’s shipping information on the checkout page, and they’ll be shipped their monthly box on or around the 18th of the following month.
Can I include a gift message?
Gift messages included in the “Gift Message” section of the checkout page will be included in your recipient’s box.
Do you offer gift cards?
No, at this time we do not offer gift cards.
I gifted a subscription box to a friend. Will they receive order and shipping notifications?
Unless you entered their email address at checkout, they will not receive order or shipping notifications.
When is my first payment due?
When you initially subscribe, you’ll pay nothing and simply enter the payment method you’d like to have charged each month.
Your first payment is billed on the last day of the month. This prepays for the box that will then ship around the 18th of the following month.
When does my subscription renew?
Monthly subscription will renew until your pause or cancel your subscription—you can do that right from your own account dashboard.
One-time boxes do not renew.
Can I skip a month instead of cancelling?
Yes! We’re parents, too, so we understand that sometimes you need to put things on hold. You can pause or reactivate your subscription as many times as you need to right from your Account.

How do I update my payment method?
That can be done right from your Account under the Payment Methods tab. For security, we do not store this information on our website and utilize our payment processor to securely store this data, so we aren’t able to update this for you. We can walk you through the process, though, if you encounter any issues.
Where does Tiny Humans Read ship to?
We ship monthly book boxes to all 50 US states and Canada.
How much does shipping cost?
Boy, have we got good news for you. Every Tiny Humans Read book box ships free in the US!
Shipping to Canada is an additional cost. Please note that while many of our shipments will not incur customs fees, it is your responsibility to cover this cost should it apply.
When will my monthly box ship?
Monthly boxes ship around the 18th of the month after you subscribe or your subscription renews.
Example:
Subscribe on January 10
First box ships 1-3 days later
Next box ships around February 18
Do you offer expedited shipping?
At this time, we don’t offer an expedited shipping option.
How long until my monthly book box arrives?
We ship all book boxes via USPS, and packages typically arrive in 2-8 business days.
How can I track my order once it ships?
As soon as we print your shipping label, we send an email straight to you with a shipping notification and tracking number. Within about 24 hours, USPS will scan and update the tracking on your package. We recommend waiting at least 24 hours for that to update before checking.
My tracking isn’t updating. What do I do?
If it has been less than 24 hours, don’t worry. It’s completely normal for there to be a slight delay in the update from USPS. This doesn’t mean your box hasn’t shipped. It just means it’s in transit to USPS or the tracking system just hasn’t updated online yet.

What if my box arrives damaged or goes missing?
We do everything we can to make sure that doesn’t happen! If something isn’t right, though, email us right away at hello@tinyhumansread.com, and we’ll work with you to either send replacement books, file a missing package report with USPS, or issue a credit as needed.
How can I change my shipping address?
You can update your shipping information any time right from your Account. Note, if your box has already shipped, we may not receive the change in time. We recommend making changes at least 24 hours before the last day of the month.
How can I cancel my Tiny Humans Read subscription?
We want to make managing your subscription as easy as possible! To pause or cancel your subscription, visit your Account and click on the Subscriptions tab. Then click on the subscription you’d like to manage and make changes as needed.
When is the last day to cancel or pause my subscription?
Payments are processed on the last day of the month. Because this can vary from month to month, we recommend cancelling at least 24 hours before the last day of the month to insure you’re not charged.
If I cancel, will I still be billed?
No, once a subscription is cancelled, you should not be billed for any future renewals.
Can I sign up again later?
Of course! To start your book box subscription again, simply pick the box you’d like to subscribe to and checkout.
We also offer the option to pause your subscription any time if you’d prefer to skip the month instead of cancelling. This can be done right from your Account.
How do I refer a friend?
We’re so glad you asked! To refer a friend, you’ll want to share your special referral link with them. When they subscribe using your link, they’ll receive a 20% off coupon to subscribe, and you’ll automatically receive 20% off your next recurring payment.

If you’re not logged in, click on the “Referral Program” button on the bottom right corner and login/register.
I’ve already subscribed, but I want to use my referral coupon code. Help!
Don’t worry! Once you’ve earned a coupon code for referring a new subscriber, it will appear in your account dashboard and is automatically applied to your next recurring payment.
Where is my friend’s referral code?
You can choose how to share the referral coupon code on your account page. Options include sharing by email, Facebook, and Twitter.
As soon as your friend or loved one subscribes using your referral link, your next renewal will have your coupon code automatically applied.
